"Zankoku na Tenshi no Thesis" is the eleventh single released by Takahashi Yoko. The song was used as the opening theme to the anime series Shinseiki Evangelion. The song is often considered one of most popular anime-influenced song in both Japan and America. The single reached #27 on the Oricon charts and charted for twenty-two weeks, and is Takahashi's second best selling single. The single sold 159,750 units.
Since the single has been released many artist have covered the song.
- Translation Note: The "teeze" in the title is not the Japanese katakana word for the English "thesis". It is actually the Japanese katakana word for the German word "these" which has similar, if not the exact same meaning.
