"my sweet darlin'" is the third single (second major label single) released by Yaida Hitomi. The title track was used as Nikon "COOLPIX880" commercial song. The b-side, "Nothing Compares 2 U" is a cover of the famous song written by Prince for his band The Family but made extremely popular when Sinéad O'Connor covered the song in the early 1990's. The single reached #8 on the Oricon weekly charts and stayed on the charts for a total of fifteen weeks, selling 233,000 copies.
