- Information
"Run Devil Run" is Girls' Generation's fourth digital single. The song is the title track to their repackaged second studio album of the same name, and was used as the lead single. American artist Ke$ha recorded in 2008 a guide track of the song which leaked on YouTube and was never released. Lyrically, the song is about a cheating boyfriend whom is a playboy that is involved with another girl even while sitting next to them. They sing "Run Run Run" -- letting the cheating boy friend know that he should run or they will enact their revenge on him; it doesn't matter if he is there, they will not take him back no matter how much he begs, and until they find a boy right for them they will be by themselves.
Music Video
The "Dance Version" of the MV was released on March 17, 2010. It featured Girls' Generation's "Dark Girls' Generation" concept; with the members wearing black clothing with relatively mature hair styles and choreography. The "Story Version" was first released exclusively for those who purchased Girls' Generation's iPhone application on March 26, 2010-- It was later released online on various music portal sites on March 31, 2010. The "Story Version" was a continuation and explanation of why "Dark Girls' Generation" appeared at the end of the "Oh!" music video. A football helmet knocked a drink onto their computer. The computer, which "Dark Girls' Generation" exists in, malfunctions and releases them into the real world. Yuri unplugs the computer towards the end, and that sends "Dark Girls' Generation" back into the computer.
